Dr. Karen L. Caines

Dr. Caines was born and raised in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. She attended Memorial University of Newfoundland where she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree. She obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo in 1991.

She has lived and practised optometry in Yorkton since her graduation.

Dr. Gerald A. Sheasby

Dr. Sheasby has retired from optometric practice as of Dec. 31, 2018. We would like to thank Dr. Sheasby for providing excellent optometric care for Yorkton & area residents for over 41 years and wish him all the best in his retirement.


Dr. Sheasby was born in Unity, Saskatchewan and attended high school at the Yorkton Regional High School. He obtained his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1977 from the University of Waterloo and joined Dr. H. R. Wilkinson in practice in Yorkton. Following Dr. Wilkinson's retirement he was joined in practice by Dr. W. Popick and Dr. K. Caines.

Dr. Sheasby and his wife Sonja have three children.  In his spare time he enjoys golf in the summer and basketball in the winter.

Staff

Sonja, Tracey, Michelle, Sheila, Nicole and Josie are knowledgeable, pleasant, and willing to assist patients in all aspects of their eye care and eye wear.

Dr. Warren E. Popick

Dr. Popick was born and raised in Langenburg, Saskatchewan where he received his elementary and high school education. He enrolled at the University of Saskatchewan for 2 years prior to being accepted into the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry from where he graduated in 1990.

Dr. Popick joined the practice of Drs. Wilkinson and Sheasby in 1990. It was at the School of Optometry where Dr. Popick met his wife, Dr. Karen L. Caines. They have two children. Dr. Popick enjoys numerous sports as a participant, volunteering as a coach, and being an active spectator.
